Never underestimate the power of networking and a networking event. It’s always good to know people in high places and low places; you never know when it will come in handy.
Recently, we hosted a Texas Hold ‘EM tournament for our current clients and some our current consultants. This was a great opportunity for us and our clients to spend time outside of the office and continue to get know each other better.
These types of networking allows for professionals to build upon existing relationships and start new ones. Building relationships is one of the keys to success. Whether is searching for a new job or searching for a new mechanic, it’s always better to know someone you trust.
In closing, get off the couch and get out there to network. It can be a MeetUp, UserGroup, or a Happy Hour. The next time you see the email regarding a networking event do me a favor and just say yes and go!
